ASEAN is the Association of South East Asian Nations namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Viet Nam. The FT(ASEAN) Division deals with the following issues related to these countries:

Trade Agreement
List of Trade Agreements signed with the counterparts of ASEAN Countries are as follows:
- ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA) was signed on 13th August 2009 and entered into force on 01st January 2010.
- India – ASEAN Agreement on Trade in Services signed on 13th November, 2014 and entered into force on 01st July 2015.
India – ASEAN Agreement on Investment signed on 12th November, 2014 and entered into force on 01st July 2015. - India – Thailand FTA- signed on 9th October, 2003 – Early Harvest Scheme (EHS) entered into force on 1st September, 2004.
- India-Singapore Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) covering goods, services and investment was signed on 29th June 2005 and entered into force on 1st August 2005.
- India –Malaysia Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) covering trade in goods, services and investment signed on 18th February, 2011 and entered into force on 1st July, 2011.
