Smt. Anupriya Patel takes charge as Minister of State of Ministry of Commerce and Industry

Smt. Anupriya Patel took over the charge as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry here today.
Smt. Anupriya Patel was elected to the Lok Sabha, from the constituency of Mirzapur in the 2014 and again in 2019. She was also the Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, from 2016 to 2019.
GI certified Madurai Malli and other flowers exported to USA & Dubai from Tamil Nadu

For ensuring that Indians living abroad get supplies of fresh flowers to deities at home and temples, consignments of Geographical Indications (GI) certified Madurai malli and other traditional flowers such as button rose, lily, chamanthi and marigold were exported today to USA and Dubai from Tamil Nadu.
Exports of Geographical Indications certified Bhalia wheat from Gujarat begins

In a major boost to wheat exports, the first shipment of Geographical Indication (GI) certified Bhalia variety of wheat was exported today to Kenya and Sri Lanka from Gujarat. The GI certified wheat has high protein content and is sweet in taste. The crop is grown mostly across Bhal region of Gujarat which includes Ahmadabad, Anand, Kheda, Bhavanagar, Surendranagar, Bharuch districts.

In a bid to boost agricultural and processed food products exports, APEDA in collaboration with Indian embassy has organized a virtual buyer seller meet (VBSM) with Algeria where key stakeholders in the agricultural value chains from both the countries participated.
GeM providing increasing market access to seller groups like MSEs, Women SHGs and Startups to reinforce the Make in India Initiative;
Instantaneous loans for Sellers at ‘GeM SAHAY’ app;
GeM has now over 6,90,000 MSE sellers and service providers onboard;
Since its inception GeM has facilitated 67.27 lakh orders worth Rs. 111,113 Crores for 52,275 Govt buyers;
GeM providing online market access to under-served sellers reinforced the “Atmanirbhar Bharat”, “Vocal for Local”, “Make in India” initiatives
