Foreign Trade (Coordination) Section is responsible for handling the following issues:

• Coordination of weekly Senior Officers’ Meeting under the chairmanship of Commerce Secretary.
• Processing of Draft Cabinet Note/EFC/SFC Note received from different Ministries/Departments.
• Compilation of inputs on questionnaire received from Office of HCIM/HMoS in connection with their interviews on various platforms.
• Coordination of VIP references with all concerned Divisions of the Department of Commerce.
• Providing inputs to PMO, Cabinet Secretariat and other important offices on issues not specific to any Division in Department of Commerce.
• Updation of PM announcements on PMRef portal including monitoring of Budget announcements, Pragati Projects, Subordinate Legislation etc.
• Processing of requests of various organizations/bodies for grant of non-financial logo support.
• Coordination of various Campaigns and National events.
• Monitoring of Saturation of Government Buildings with rooftop solar under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana for the Department of Commerce and its organizations.

This Division is headed by the Additional Secretary and is being assisted by other support staff.
